John,
You are a great friend and I appreciate the point you were making, but you definitely went over the line with saying you were happy I hurt myself and wishing it was worse publicly. I like what you said after that to clarify what you really meant to say...slow down and don't hurt yourself again, but didn't the first time. Please refrain from saying or infering hurtful things like that to me or anyone else moving forward. You have never treated me like that privately so you shouldn't do it publicly. I know you were not joking in what you said and you were going for a below the belt blow to stagger me into realizing that I need to take care of myself and not put my friends above myself and my own family. Yes, I realize that I made an error in judgment with playing in that basketball game...but I am human and this isn't the first or last error in judgment I will make. I will learn from this error and become stronger for it.
I still consider you my friend and I will do better to respect my own health moving forward. Let's move forward and please support my efforts to get back to being healthy again. I will keep helping you to hit all pure shots and to be a great friend to you. I love both you and L. Both of you bring a lot of joy in my life and have done so much for me. I am not sure why I am so fortunate to have you both, but I thank God for that every day. I want you both to stay at my house for a vacation when you get a chance.
Lane,
You did the right thing and I appreciate that. I would like to get to know you better so let me know if you want to talk.
Mike,
I have much respect to you for responding the way you did. It makes me feel good that you did the right thing here and hopefully we can keep this thread on track from now on. All of this originated from my error in getting hurt in the first place. If that didn't happen, none of it would have happened so I am the root cause. You are always welcome at my house if you are ever in the DC area.
Bill,
Yes, Val is a Saint. I appreciate your mediation efforts here and you are a good friend to me. Since you know me and we have discussed all of the great things John has done for me, it is easier for you to understand the situation here. Lane and Mike did the right thing here though. You are always welcome at my house if you are ever in the DC area.
Dean,
I appreciate your efforts to mediate. We still need to Skype so we can collaborate on the golf swing.
Cy,
I am glad you and your wife like that video. When I was a member at a country club, all of the guys there would use me for bargaining with their wife to play more. Look at Dougie...he is out on the range all day so why can't I hit a few balls for an hour. All you have to do is show a few of my videos with Val holding my hair in 90F heat, going to Beamont and Florida for a week each with me so I could practice Golf or doing a video of my Rockfossa to prove that the time you spend on golf is nothing compared to Dougie and look at what Val has to deal with....you have it easy, Honey! Val and I love everything about Golf especially the people involved so I am glad you enjoy the videos. I plan to keep working hard to improve so you have not seen anything yet. I would like to get the opportunity to meet you and your wife so let me know.
I am ready to get back to the helping Dirters with their Golf and doing better myself.
Thanks,
Rock
