Bernhard Langer was born August 27, 1957 in Germany. He is best known for being a two time winner of the Masters.
Langer captured his first European Tour title at the age of 23, in 1980. In 1985, he won his first Masters Title, helping him to become the first official "World Number 1" in 1986.
He has over 80 wins worldwide, include 42 on the European Tour and two Masters Titles. His 42 wins places him second all time behind Seve Ballesteros.
He appeared in the Ryder Cup on 10 occasions. He also has served as a non-playing captain.
When he made the successful transition to the Champions Tour in the US, he instantly became one of the stars of the tour. He has 15 wins to date on that tour, including two major titles.
