  • Sam Goulden - created a new topic Short game in the forum.
I have been teaching for 14 years. I have developed a few little tests to give students to see how they rank in full swing and short game. I just published an eBook talking about the short game tests and drills I give my students.

I think it would be cool to have this whole community trying the tests and sharing the results. I know this will be on the honor system but hey, we are golfers are we not?

The download is $2 but if you really want to join the group...

  • Yo dirters... just uploaded my first ebook! It's a short game skills test and subsequent drills to get better. it's $1.99 for this week. Let me know what you think and if anyone beats 98%, 74%, and 62% in the first putting drill I'll give you your $2 back!

Left Handed Swing Slow Motion - Sam Goulden Golf 00:16
Left Handed Swing Slow Motion - Sam Goulden Golf
Just focusing on my swing keys for right handed swings. Seems that there are some things I do better left handed. Handle is low, posture is solid throughout, butt is on the line, and face doesn't over-rotate coming through.

The Most Important Angle in Golf - Sam Goulden Golf 05:11
The Most Important Angle in Golf - Sam Goulden Golf
Ben Hogan, Tiger Woods, Lucas Glover, Rory McIlroy and many others create and maintain this angle. Maintaining this angle is one of the single most important things you can do to improve you golf swing. Posture, power, lag, solid contact, and good divots are all connected to this angle. Side tilt at impact is also effected by these angles.

  • Sam Goulden - created a new topic Face angle throughout swing?? in the forums.
    Yo Sevam!

Am curious what you think about players with a shut face at the top. Like Zach Johnson, Dustin Johnson, and some others. Seems like a trend on tour. I feel that the face stays really square all the way to the top with no fanning open of the blade.

Ball Flight Laws - Sam Goulden Golf
In this video lesson I discuss the ball flight laws that are related to golf. If your ball curves in flight it is due to these simple, easy to understand laws. Stay tuned for my full length instructional video! SamGouldenGolf.com

Robert Karlsson Wayne, only if the objects both are perfectly inelastic. In reality the ball exits somewhere between the path and clubface directions, both horizontally and vertically. Tests are showing that the ratio clubface to path is between 90-10 and 80-20.

Its a good approximation tough, and since it is basic science as you say it makes you wonder how those "old ball flight laws" could be considered truth for so long.

Not my best. A lot of good finishes in some smaller tournaments leading up to this one gave me a lot of confidence but I guess the scene was a little more intense and the pressure got to me.
