This guy came up from Sydney to Darwin for a cricket season...his name was Anthony Clarke-Bruce...one of the boys called him "Tony 2 Dads"!!! Or "2 Dads" for short....
-
I get "The Rat" which comes from "Tiprat" which is off my surname...or as the boys who call me that it's because they reckon I'm lower than any form of rat except those found at the tip, or rubbish dump as you guys from the States call it...
A guy off scratch at our club has been under "scrutiny" a couple of times for what one could clearly call cheating...1 of the instances was for "adjusting" his scoredcard for a par instead of a bogey...we now call him "The Pencillor!"
Another guy at my old club Thurgoona (not far from Wagga) was called "Crazyhorse"! On every hole that has OB left he's managed to wang it over the fence...they're some big snap hooks in that lot!!!! -
The travel agent on the tour has a handle.........pitchfork ......he was poked in the head when he was kid......I call him pitch for short
-
At one time or another I've been called Mavesy, Maveselnut, Snooky and a whole bunch of other things I can't repeat here.....In recent times people have generally called me Sevam1.

since i was a kid and we started out playing,my mates called me 'the walrus' after the great craig stadler as i was a surly looking fat kid with a sense of humour.
i've hung onto it ever since and when i caddied for a mate in texas some years ago he won a pro shop voucher and we found the best walrus head cover i've ever seen.it still sits proudly on my driver today! -
Other than Big Country, Gomer is the nick name that has stuck the hardest. When i was in High School we moved to S. Texas just in time for the end of two a day workouts. With my rather thick texas drawl my last name Powell sounds like Pyle, as in, Gomer Pyle. During our first game I made a tackle and one of the Seniors ran up to me and not knowing my name, said Way to go Gomer, and it stuck till this day. My younger Brother inherited it as well along with all 3 of my boys. Just in case anyone was wondering. HaHa.

Replaced the graphite shafts with FST light wt. steel in my irons last year. Since I'm all of 5'-7" in shoes, ManOSteel seems a good fit. For the record the FST's work very well, no loss of distance and a little more consistent with the additional 20g.

my caddies name is bullet....when he first came on the tour he moved around pretty fast......the black caddies said....."say man you move around like a bullet"

My group name is a nickname, that my wife's family uses. Elk gave it to me at Christmas the first year we met. It is pretty self explanitory. I am a country boy and I'm 6'2 and around 3 bills depending on what I had for my last meal.
Just a thought, what are some of Ya'lls nicknames and the history behind them?
